AHLEM’s bespoke experience delivers full-service luxury from start to finish. Connecting you to the highest echelon of French craftsmanship, our program is the real thing: Unlike other brands, we don’t cut corners by using pre-existing styles as a base, or offer only acetate frames just because they’re simpler to produce. Metal and acetate (whatever your preference), each AHLEM bespoke creation is an original collaboration between client and designer, brought to life by the hands of a single master artisan.

Once your design has been sketched and finalized, the action moves to the foothills of the French Alps, a region whose worldwide reputation for producing superior eyewear goes back for generations. Your bespoke frames are sculpted by a skilled artist designated as a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF), the prestigious honor bestowed by the French government on the country’s most accomplished craftspeople. Using meticulous engineering and heritage techniques including martelé (hand-hammering), laser-engraving, beveling, electroplating, hand-painting, polishing and the final rhabillage (assembly and alignment), the artisan crafts and finishes a frame made exclusively for your face.
